Everyday Heroes: Ordinary People doing Extraordinary Things

Being Ordinary IS Extraordinary

Everyday Heroes is a podcast that spotlights ‘ordinary people doing extraordinary things,” and explores the heroes who inspired them! I was honored to join this podcast and talk all about my life as a traveling entrepreneur! You can listen at the link below, or keep scrolling to read more about our conversation!

How did it all start?

When our last child left home, my husband and I decided it was time to stop waiting to live our dream life. So we sold everything, bought the RV, and set out! We’ve been living, working, and loving our life together ever since.

That’s what inspired me!

I love being an online entrepreneur because it’s given me the time, flexibility, and power to help other people reach their dreams and live that life they’ve always wanted.

I hear all the time that other people wish they would have started living their dreams sooner, before health problems or other obstacles got in their way and slowed down their travels. While my husband and I got started earlier than many people get the chance to, it always reminds me of my purpose and how I can help make that happen for others.

My Hero: Stu McLaren

In our world of constant information and slimy sales tactics, there’s a bit of a stigma against many online entrepreneurs, especially in the sales world.

Stu is the complete opposite of that in my eyes. He teaches everyday people that they have gifts and talents to offer the world; gifts and talents that can change the lives of others and of themselves.

He markets to people who don’t want to just get rich quick. He helps young people, parents, retirees, etc. find the power in themselves and realize they have real potential to make an impact.

You don’t have to do something grand to make an impact.

But here’s the really cool part — Stu didn’t just market his course for his own gain either. He actually founded an amazing charity called Village Impact that has helped over 5,000 kids get an education in Kenya that they couldn’t have had otherwise. He’s helped 14 schools be built in communities that truly needed them and changed lives.

“The more money you make, the more impact you can have.” – Stu McLaren

Advice for the generation heading into the “real world” now:

It’s time to really think outside the box. We as people have to think about how we can impact others around us in a positive way. We are truly living in history, and the generations coming into the workforce now will be the ones to change the future.

So, decide what impact you want to have and what path you want to take. Impacting even just one or two people in a positive way can have an astronomical result that you never saw coming. Those impacts continue on in a ripple effect, going on and impacting more and more people as they come into contact with others.

The world needs to hear what you have to say.
